I’ve asked Dion’s to skip supplying plastic utensils when I order carry out. But I’ve found out that it’s best to check the order to be sure those pesky plastic forks and knives haven’t found their way into my carry out bag — which I’m sorry to say is also plastic.

Start bringing a lunchbox/reusable grocery bag and switch? Or re use the bag at home :)

I went to lunch with friends and one of them brought her own container to take home her uneaten food. That seems like a good idea to me, especially if the restaurant uses styrofoam for guests’ leftovers.

The Range no longer uses paper straws or even asks if diners want straws. That’s a disappointment, though there were five in my group for dinner on Sunday and we left all the straws unused. Small success.

Disappointed to see the return of plastic straws in many restaurants. Would like to see the BioPark take the lead by providing paper straws or selling reusables with the purchase of drinks.
