Just a few days left to go! Keep up the great work everyone! Think of one more action you can take before the month is over, and maybe what you will keep doing beyond July!

I joined a new group on Facebook called 'Buy Nothing Prairie Village North' and the boundaries are within a few blocks from my house. So far I have seen so many nice interactions between my neighbors as they give things away or look for things they need. It is creating a positive community environment.

I went to the Soap refill station (Soapkc.com) this past weekend. Thank you for recommending that Georgia! I was able to refill my containers with shampoo ($.30 an ounce) and hand soap ($.18 an ounce). Now I know how easy and affordable it is, I will be heading there in the future for dish soap, laundry detergent, etc.!

I just noticed we are currently in 28th place out of 224 teams!! Let's make it a goal of being in the top 20 by the end of the month. I know we can do it!

I cant believe we are already to week 4. I was just reflecting on all the changes I have made through this challenge over the past several years. I just had to refill my laundry soap this weekend and it reminded me this was a switch I made during our first PFJ challenge we participated in!

The personal benefits are less plastic containers in land fills, using bar soap and conditioner on my hair has actually improved my hair!! My niece makes the body soap I use so there aren't any harmful chemicals to dry out my skin.

I went camping this weekend and there was so much small trash left around the site! (small gum wrappers, food trash, hair ties, etc.)

Week 2! How is everyone doing? I found a local store with great plastic free travel products perfect for summer. What are some plastic-free "wins" you have found?
