I use my giraffe reusable Tervis mug for my tea every morning!

I have been using the stacks of newspaper left near the mailboxes in my apartment for hamster bedding. Otherwise, it goes to waste. Paul loves to tear it apart and make himself a little bed.

    Pets All Natural Pet Toys
In what ways is supplying your pet with all natural pet toys better for your pet, better for you, and better for the environment?

For my hamster, I have been giving him toys that not only can he climb on but it is safe to chew.

Have you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.

I noticed a shift last year, however, I am noticing more places just putting straws on the table and once it is on the table they will just throw them away. Covid makes everything very challenging now.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using reusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable food packaging or eating utensils, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

With covid, most places are required to use plastic items that can just be tossed. Also, in the grocery store some people might buy the items already in plastic wrap to ensure less people from touching their food. I feel as though most places before Covid were going in the right direction. We can always remind these places to be more conscience of how much waste they are accumulating.

I hate not being able to use my reusable bags for grocery shopping :( I try to go to the store that uses paper bags but sometimes it's difficult. However, I do reuse the plastic bags for other things around the house.

Hope everyone is making smart plastic-free choices on the holiday!
  • Reflection Question
Food Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible Cup
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

I limit my dunkin runs and make my tea at home using my own reusable cups. Sometimes when dining out, I will see what other tables are given for glassware and make a decision on what I will order that way.

Using too many one time use items, also all factors that take part in global warming.
