  • Reflection Question
    Food Use Reusable Containers
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

    Liz Arcand 7/14/2019 7:09 AM
We used snapware for all of our leftovers. We also reuse plastic takeout containers that we get from carry out when possible.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Minimize Packaging
With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?

    Liz Arcand 7/06/2019 3:36 PM
It’s hard to find certain products that don’t have single use plastics— grape and cherry tomatoes or berries.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Skip the Straw
Have you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.

Yes, I find that more restaurants ask whether or not you’d like a straw rather than just handing you one. Also, I’ve noticed more paper straws in grocery stoeres.
