This journey began for for me through my Docent work with our Zoo.  Ot has made me acutely aware of what can be recycled and my contribution has increased! It has also changed some of my purchas patterns.  Thank you.

I find that talking about this plastic challenge increases and maintains my awareness!  While my granddaughter has been visiting, we bout metal straws!

How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

Trying to find a consistent source for produce bundling when fresh food shopping.  Interested in any all suggestions

What are the benefits (to people, animals, and the environment) of purchasing clothes made with natural fibers?

    Anni B 7/25/2019 11:03 AM
Linen & cotton are the plant based fibers that over the years, I have bought routinely because of their comfort in the Sonoran Desert!  However,  I have begun label reading more diligently to make sure this is what I buy.

My brain has become so aware of all the plastic use there is in my small household.  How will I muscle through?  What options are there besides steel straws?  Kidding in a way however, I feel my mind circling trying to figure it out!

How are caring for your pet and caring for the environment connected for you?

    Anni B 7/14/2019 3:28 PM
Although I am a cat owner, changing their cat litter was challenging after years of use.  Unfortunately, this resulted in incontinence by the cats possibly bewildered by the new option.  We stopped this challenge.  At a point in the future, I will try this again.
