Conclusion: Bamboo toothbrushes take some getting use to.

I'm noticing an increase in compostable trash bags. Hopefully this trend will continue since so much landfill space is taken up purely by bags.

I got some dryer balls to replace dryer sheets! Looking forward to seeing how well they work.

Does anyone else in the medical or zoo field have an idea of how we can reduce disposable rubber glove use?

Finally remembered to use my reusable shopping bags this week. I hate having to run back to my car with my groceries abandoned at the checkout.

    Pets All Natural Pet Toys
In what ways is supplying your pet with all natural pet toys better for your pet, better for you, and better for the environment?

My pet is an amphibian. Any synthetic enrichment may cause skin abrasions so natural is always the way to go.
  • Reflection Question
    Pets Invest in a Pooper-Scooper
How are caring for your pet and caring for the environment connected for you?

My pets were lab animals that could not be released into the wild for fear of contamination. For this reason, keeping them in my care was the responsible decision for my environment.

Disposable tampons and menstrual pads are often quite expensive. What are the economic and personal benefits of this switch for you?

This was a pretty easy thing to avoid altogether since I have never purchased any of these items and likely never will.
  • Reflection Question
Personal Care That Was a Close Shave
What have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?

I think people believe hygiene products are more hygienic when disposable, but I do not believe that to be the case. I think wastefulness is a substitute for cleanliness and convenience always wins out.
  • Reflection Question
Lifestyle Buy Only What I Need
As you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?

I've noticed that fresh produce and dairy tend to be more accessible to a frugal audience, they just lack the convenience of the more preservative-based meals.
