    Hello Team!
I am leading a clean-up through The Nature Sanctuary Society of WNY on July 25th at our Sherman C. Bishop (hellbender) Preserve. If anyone is interested in participating, I can take 3 others in my car. We would meet at the zoo at 8:15 It is a nice day outside in New York State's only hellbender preserve. First, I talk about hellbenders and why the Preserve is important to protect. We go through and have our clean up, and then take a break with each other in the shade with our bagged lunches. Then we complete a salamander survey of the hillside and then we show the group at least one hellbender. I am the custodian of the preserve. Usually, it is a member only trip, but I would love to take a zoo crew down with me for some support. Email me if you are interested.
Have you hugged your hellbender today?
    Thanks,
    Penny

It disgusts me that so many humans throw trash around the earth with no regard. I remember learning to not litter in kindergarten. What happens to adults that they forget this lesson? We need to do better!!!
