This challenge has helped me realize how much of the food we buy is tied to single-use plastics. Whether it is produce, meat, dairy, vegetable oil, condiments, etc., so much of it comes in a plastic container. When I go shopping, I now look for options that come in cans or glass containers that can be recycled or returned to the supplier, or even products that come in no packaging at all!

Hey everyone - thanks so much for joining our Pittsburgh Team for the Plastic Free EcoChallenge!! I'm excited to find new ways to reduce my plastic consumption and hope you are too! I just started by ordering bamboo toothbrushes with bio-based bristles. Looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish as a team! :)
