We have received several drop offs of plastic grocery sacks/bags. I will make the drop to target Friday afternoon.

And as always, guests can recycle any single-use plastic bags they no longer need at our in-store recycling kiosks. We also offer guests an assortment of stylish reusable bag options, along with a five-cent discount for each reusable bag they use at our checkout.Jun 12, 2019

Can you recycle plastic bags at target?

Located at the front of each store, the recycling stations offer guests a convenient way to recycle aluminum, glass and plastic beverage containers, plastic bags, MP3 players, cell phones and ink cartridges. A full description of recyclables that are accepted is available at Target.com/eco-friendly.

Local fresh vegetables. Bring your own box or reusable bags.  They are usually open on Saturdays. About 2 miles north of the Zoo.

Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

Out of sight out of mind can only lasts so long.
At some point if we can’t figure out how as a society to recycle we will have to make a decision to change the way we store food/and drinks.
I would ask that everyone Sort out all of your plastics for one month to get an idea on the amount of plastics you personally go through.

That's a great idea since I don't think we realize how much we waste. I've been collecting plastic bags and recycling them at the grocery store and I'm amazed at how empty my garbage is now. I think those take up a huge proportion of space at the landfill :/
