No disposable razors, wax on wax off

Instead of using disposable razors I will have my hair waxed off. Keeps plastic disposable razors out of the landfill. The average Woman uses at least 12 disposable razors a year if not more so why not?

  • Reflection Question
    Food Buy Unpackaged Produce
Why do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

I think the produce started getting packaged because some of it was dirty or wet.  I get potatoes, radishes, onions and green onions that are dirty and make my bag dirty.  I also get lettuce, celery and carrots that are all wet and get everything they touch wet too.  This is not the ideal scenario when you are buying sugar, flour or other dry goods.

I was able to dine out at two establishments that had real crockery and cutlery again.  It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the weather.
The real reason I am posting is I have this awesome Frigidaire microwave and I need to replace the deteriorated handle.  I hate to throw the whole thing away just because of one small but important part.  I want to fix it myself but every YouTube I watched (six) skips the very first step on how to get the back of the door panel open to get to the screws!!!!!!  This looks like the hardest part of the repair.  Any ideas?

No straw and little plastic yesterday.  The Ted Talk this morning was very cute and to the point.  Today looks like a not plastic day also.

How difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?

Yesterday I was able to get grocery shopping done in two stores without any bags except my own.

Dinner out Saturday night had real crockery and utensils!  An awesome break from to go boxes and plastic forks.

No straws all week but unfortunately one plastic cup due to Covid 19.

Friday was not the best day for avoiding plastic.  Due to Covid 19, ended up eating out with a plastic cup and plastic utensils :o(  Saturday and Sunday went much better.

Today I was able to re-use a plastic bag from Winco Foods and pick up granola from the bulk food section so it was a win, win day.  I also save and re-use the small bulk bags for liners in my tiny garbage can from the reduce and reuse challenge.  They are almost a perfect fit. :o)
