Hey Guys! I wanted to share this resource I found as well for recycling odd items, especially those with mixed plastic and other parts. I have a bunch of old computer equipment (keyboards, stereo speakers, etc) and this place takes lots of items. Hope it can help to keep more items out of our landfills and oceans: http://www.ohiodropoff.com/what.html

I am making this toothepaste tonight! Here's a link to a great resource, Trash is for Tossers. The founder, Lauren Singer, is leading a zero-waste life and has a really cool and inspiring story. Check it out to learn lots of easy tips and methods to going plastic free! https://trashisfortossers.com/my-zero-waste-homemade-toothpaste-recipe/

Since we are going to be wrapping up this challenge soon, I wanted to find out more ways to keep my plastic free lifestyle going. I just took a plastic-free pledge through the non-profit "The Story of Stuff". I shared it on my Facebook page so I'm hoping more friends and family will join me!

I was already using a bamboo toothebrush, but bought my husband one to use as well. It even came with plant-based packaging that was biodegradable. Next challenge - to start making our own toothepaste!

A friend made my husband and I re-usable facemasks, so we just wash ours and re-use instead of the one time use version!

We planted a garden on our apartment balcony and are now able to use our own herbs instead of buying them (rosemary, thyme, and basil) as well as our tomatoes that are almost ready to be picked!

Way to go! Sustainable gardening from an apartment balcony - a challenge with such a small footprint - great job!

I've been doing a lot of action items, but I'm not on social media platforms very often so I'm really bad at updating my stats! My apologies to the team and I'll try to catch up with everything I've done!
