    I haven't noticed a shift in my community. I still see plastic straws being used.

      As a whole, I agree--there's not a lot of messaging and it's still a lot of plastic straws.  However, the Med Center has paper straws as an option and several businesses do too-they tend to be independently owned/non-franchise restaurants, but it gives me hope that there are some.

    Refills cost less, packaging is less, bar products are easy to travel with.
