  • Reflection Question
Personal Care That Was a Close Shave
What have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?

I have noticed a huge monthly savings on razors! Instead of having to buy new disposable razors every week I only need to buy the blades! Plus, they are recyclable.
  • Reflection Question

It benefits me by letting me have more space to store things in my fridge as well as having quicker access to snacks!

  • Reflection Question
Community Learn about Local Environmental Justice Concerns
What are the most pressing environmental justice concerns in your city, town, or region? Were you aware of or affected by these local concerns before you did your research?

I this the largest/most pressing environmental concern in SPI is the amount of beach litter. Unfortunately, many people are not educated on the impacts plastics have on the environment. Hopefully, with time and impacts taken by others that this issue will be a thing of the past.
  • Reflection Question
    Community Say No to Styrofoam
How might styrofoam be an environmental justice and/or environmental racism issue in your community?

From some research that I have done it seems that the education of how styrofoam and plastics in general effecting the environment is a huge environmental justice/racism issue. What I read this is mainly due to lower income areas not having access to this information/not being taught about the issues.

I have been saving up my recycling over the past few months to see how much it really was and WOW! 3 large bags full! I think it is a good way to see how much of an impact you are making with recycling.
