Don't forget to invite your friends and family to join us in accepting the challenge to reduce our single-use plastic consumption.  We can share the word to inspire others to join us in this cause!

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Catie Hirsh 6/22/2020 8:09 AM
My greatest concern is that our culture and economy support single-use items.  If we keep pushing a single-use mentality, eventually everything will be considered single-use and our planet can not handle that amount of waste.  Unless we make a personal change and inspire change in others, we'll face many environmental issues in the future.

Hi everyone!  Remember that there are lots of ways to make a difference for our planet.  To set yourself up for success, start small and chose options that fit with your daily routine.

Plus, by participating in the month-long event, you'll be regularly thinking about how you can reduce your plastic impact.  In the long run, this will help you make long term changes to your routine.

In what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?

    Catie Hirsh 6/18/2020 8:00 AM
Honestly, I have not chosen to use social media in the past to express my viewpoints or inspire action in others.  Yesterday, I took a big step and invited friends and family to participate in the event.  I was pleasantly surprised by the positive feedback sharing this event through social media created.

Thank you to all my friends and family that have accepted my invite to go on this journey with me!  Together we will create positive change for wildlife and wild places.
