    Idon't buy water in plastic disposable bottles.  Buy one large bottle of flavored water in plastic per week to mix with tap water for better taste, but then recucle the bottle.

      That's a great idea Sue! I wonder if there's even a way to flavor the water without buying the bottle...I found a few recipes online :) Thanks for joining the challenge!

    I don't use plastic straws or any straws at home and will not use plastic straws away from home.

      Nice! And I love that I'm seeing more reusable straws for sale at mainstream stores like Target and Meijer these days. If you like using a straw, it really doesn't take that much time or effort to wash a reusable one. I just stick mine in the dishwasher with my utensils.
