I will only buy cloth, wooden or plant-based natural rubber toys. Or make our own toys from recycled items found in our home!

I will make my own cleaning products at home.

Travel Eating
If traveling, I will bring my own snacks and meals in my own containers to avoid the waste of take-out containers.

Clean Plate Club
When I need to replace my dish soap, I will switch to a bar or refillable option.

Travel Toiletries
If traveling, I will reuse my old travel tubes to refill with my soaps or only bring bar soaps with me in a TSA-approved reusable quart-sized bag.

I will create or support a sharing economy with family, friends, and neighbors.

I will visit the rePurpose website, complete the 3-minute plastic consumption calculator, and explore how I can reBalance my annual plastic footprint.

Pearly Whites
I will switch to a plastic-free toothpaste — whether purchased or DIY'd.

Minimize Packaging
I will purchase food items with the least amount of packaging.

Cook a Plastic Free Meal
I will prepare meals at home each day without using any items packaged in single-use plastic.

meg kalmbach 7/07/2022 12:57 PMI made a pesto pasta dish last night using basil, spinach, lettuce, and radishes all from my garden! The pasta I bought came in a recyclable cardboard box and all the spices I used are in glass containers. Is it just me or does everything taste better when you grow it yourself?! -
meg kalmbach 7/05/2022 10:15 AMI'm starting out strong thanks to my garden + my farmers market! I find that I most often consume plastic when eating out or buying from the grocery store. By lessening both of those and instead eating locally-sourced foods from my backyard and farmers, I hardly consume any plastic / find it much easier to avoid! -
meg kalmbach 6/30/2022 3:41 PMhi everyone!! get those eco-friendly juices flowing and prepare yourself for a plastic free july!
