Bigi Luginbuhl 7/31/2020 5:57 AMI definitely will keep on keeping on with working towards plastic neutral I also will continue to share my ideas with others to at least get them thinking. I feel like I have so many more documentaries to watch now too. I have learned more this year than last and it’s been fun too. -
Reflection QuestionCommunity Host a Watch PartyHow does hosting a watch party help you to get to know your guests, connect them to the cause you are focusing on, and build your community?
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/30/2020 12:48 PMIt starts a conversation and gets everyone thinking about things in a different way than maybe they hadn’t thought of before. It’s sharing something your passionate about and hopefully opening more eyes up to the reality of what’s going on in the world. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/30/2020 4:16 AMI need a new vitamix pitcher and didn’t want to get it because first it’s expensive and also plastic but I just found out they make metal ones again like they did years ago. So exciting. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/29/2020 10:24 AMI wish there was a solution for All the rubber gloves I go through at work. -
Reflection QuestionPets All Natural Pet ToysIn what ways is supplying your pet with all natural pet toys better for your pet, better for you, and better for the environment?
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/28/2020 7:40 AMIt’s better for their health and not adding more plastic production and then waste is also great. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/28/2020 7:39 AMI have been learning and experimenting with soap berries and I really like them. It takes some time and I think adding essential oils really helps the scent. Anyone else used them at all?-
Jessica Fowler 7/30/2020 6:18 PMYou can also put essential oils on wool dryer balls. I find the scent seems to linger on the clothes more than when the oils are in the wash. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/28/2020 9:05 AMThe essential oils I add to the berries themselves so they don't leave a residue. You can also just add the essential oils to a piece of cotton and add it to the wash. Works great. -
Julianne Doctor 7/28/2020 8:23 AMI've heard of soap berries but haven't done much research on them. I've never used essential oils before; have you noticed if it leaves any type of residue on your clothes after washing?

Reflection QuestionLifestyle Homemade CleanersWhat did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/28/2020 7:37 AMThe biggest difference is the time it takes to make the cleaning products and the shelf life is much shorter. I really enjoy making them myself though and obviously it is much better for the planet and cheaper. -
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/27/2020 7:32 AMDoing pretty good but it has been hard to share information about the importance of using plastic alternatives and avoiding plastics without sounding judgmental and preachy. A lot of people don’t want to put the time in to find other options for things they have always gotten. Too much trouble for them. It can be frustrating. -
Reflection QuestionCommunity Estimate My Plastic Consumption and Go #PlasticNeutralWhat did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?
Bigi Luginbuhl 7/27/2020 7:30 AMIt really made me realize plastic in my life I completely overlooked. It opened my eyes a lot more and is helping motivate me to change even more this year. -
