Sad to see the challenge end, but I had a great time participating. Thank you to everyone here.

    Pets DIY Cat Litter
Other species can teach us important lessons about ourselves and life in general. What has your cat taught you?

My neighbor’s cat reacted just like humans would. Resistance to change. The cat hissed and ran away from the alternative litter. It takes persistence and motivation.

One day to go, and still so much to do. So many problems to fix.

My favorite bar is now stocking paper straws. A small gain, but the many small gains add up and make a difference.

KInda sad that this challenge is so close to ending.  But I'm glad I picked up some new habits from the challenge that I will maintain for a healthier life and planet.

Getting ready for a weekend cleanup. Not sure where yet, but will probably be looking for some Kevlar gloves.

    Personal Care Dam the Flow
Disposable tampons and menstrual pads are often quite expensive. What are the economic and personal benefits of this switch for you?

Okay.. so I'm a guy, don't menstruate, and had to purchase for a couple family members to try out. The only personal benefit I'm getting from this is that good feeling of knowing that I introduced a new idea to others, and that may help reduce plastic consumption. Feminine hygiene shouldn't be a taboo topic, and more people should know about this.
  • Reflection Question
Personal Care Donate Zero Waste Period Products
How can having access to zero waste period products help people who menstruate overcome barriers to education or other opportunities?

Donating these kits can have more impact than I expected. At $20 each, that is more than half a week's pay for families in poorer countries. I expect my relationship with Femme International to last far beyond this Ecochallenge.

Ecochallenge is great.  Next time we should run it longer than a month.

Some outdoor guests left trash behind our building over the weekend.  Cleanup time!  Maybe an outdoor trash can in the future.
