Food Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible Cup
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

I tried using my reusable mug at Bruegger's yesterday and unfortunately they said they cannot accept reusables at this time. Thankfully I started making my own milk tea a while ago to save money, so I think I'll do the same with iced coffee, and start perfecting my technique!

What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

Generally when I think about my own plastic consumption, I think about all of the plastic packaging at the grocery store. However, taking this quiz made me realize that more of my footprint lies in the dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, cleaning supplies, and other kitchen items that I use every day, as well as the disposable plastic cups + containers I get when I buy iced coffee or get takeout (just 1x/week though!)

I have my reusable water bottle and shopping bag ready for July! I'm participating in this challenge because I think the world's oceans and their wildlife are INCREDIBLE and I want to help keep them that way! :)

YES! I wrote how I want to be a part of this challenge to hold myself accountable, but ultimately, I am joining this challenge to help keep our planet as clean and healthy as can be. Oceans, rainforests, prairies, urban settings, forests, and my favorite - mountains!
