Travel Toiletries

If traveling, I will reuse my old travel tubes to refill with my soaps or only bring bar soaps with me.

Become a Recycling Pro

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 30 minutes researching which materials are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community and recycle only those items.

When possible, I will not use disposable bags when shopping, including produce bags.

Remembering to take reusable bag into the store is not always easy to remember. But should become easier and more of habit with time.

Habits are tough. Both directions — breaking and building. I try to reinforce positive behaviors in myself, like you would with a dog. 🤣 ~When I remember my reusable shopping bags, I might get myself a small (non plastic-wrapped) treat — like a nice piece of fruit or something from the bakery. I’ve also gone the negative-reinforcement/object-lesson route… put everything back on the shelves and go back to the car to get my bags. Whatever works!
