  • Reflection Question
    Pets Invest in a Pooper-Scooper
How are caring for your pet and caring for the environment connected for you?

this is cheating- I have cats and therefore already have a pooper scooper- but hey, I use it daily
  • Reflection Question
Pets Try a Pet Shampoo Bar
In what ways does your pet make your life happier, more interesting, or more rewarding?

I am going to be completely honest- I had no idea they sold bar soap for pets and truthfully I have used plain ivory on my pets in the past- too cheap to buy special soap. But now that I found some on amazon- I am thrilled to try it....

Bananas are the fruit of the day~ I'm going to visit family this weekend and I'm thinking watermelon of these hot Florida days sounds wonderful

Started my morning prepping dinner- pot roast with root veggies in the crock pot and being very aware of what went in the garbage can- only the meat tray and wrap (I had the roast in my freezer). Potatoes and carrots & onion were all plastic free

I miss living 15 minutes from Tarpon Springs- sponge capital of the world- did you know natural sea sponges are antibacterial? Fun fact! And much less expensive in Tarpon Springs! Next visit I will have to stock up- no plastic shower floofies here!

Picking up trash was double easy today- which is really terrible... My inner small town hates the slob city life and lack of respect with all the litter! But I am trying to make my piece better.

Today I was trying to purge/donate/recycle various things from my in-laws home. My M-I-Lis a huge hoarder and addicted to shopping. As I was going through closets, cabinets and drawers I found some eco-friendly bamboo make up brushes! New in package and from- haha- 2011. I liberated them to add to my tools! It made me chuckle and surprised me that she bought them in the first place. They are cruising for a month and I look forward to going through more at parents house!

In the classroom again today and a reminder of how much I try to keep waste down and reuse items. Ceramic mugs as water cups for rinsing brushes, real palettes instead of disposable plates and refilling the small glue bottles with gallon size.

I am so tired today- but that's no excuse to slack with my commitment- I have picked up trash, packed lunch today, had coffee in office in a real mug and more! Skip those straws and utensils! Make a difference everyday. Keep on track!

Making both my jobs more plastic free! Refilling glue bottles from the bulk jugs, same with the craft paints! Cleared it with the managers!
