I see working in the garden as a zen moment.  I am able to focus on the moment and let my worries go.
  • Reflection Question

My roommate likes straws to drink everything! I finally convinced her to use reusable ones, even though it took a while to convince her.
  • Reflection Question
    Food Use Reusable Containers
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

I have several Talenti jars around the house. I find they are perfect for single portion fruit or vegetable items.
  • Reflection Question

The impact that surprised me was the effects plastic has on coral reefs.  The way it changes the dynamics and biosphere.

This has been an amazing experience.  I had no idea how much plastic was in my life. This will hopefully stick to help me make better choices in the future.

One more thing I noticed about using wool dryer balls  - when I clean my lint filter there's no more sticky residue and the lint comes off in one clean sheet!
  • Reflection Question
Food Cook a Zero-Plastic Waste Meal
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

I used to use old grocery bags at the garden to gather produce; now I use an old pillowcase that I can throw in the wash. Bonus - I can tie it to my waist to keep my hands free

I tried wool dryer balls today and they work great! I also have sensitive skin so this reduces chemicals on my skin.
