Let's talk about bath towels!  I know people who still think every time they shower or bath they have to throw those towels in the wash and get out fresh ones.  You are drying a clean body folks!  You can use that towel several times before it needs to be washed!  Cut down on your laundry.  Every little bit helps.

Great tip Patricia! Especially if your towels (and other fabric items) aren't made from 100% natural materials!

We talked about not using straws and then that lead to a conversation about plastic in general and talking about all the ways to stop using plastic in our daily lives.

At lunch I told my friends about various ways we can all reduce our use of plastic. I hope they were listening!

Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

plastic is bad for our world.  try to use as little as possible.  So much of it ends up in the ocean.

There are certain things I am addicted to - lotion and hand soap!  Ha!  But today I started my plastic free quest regarding hand soap.  I have purchased powdered soap that you mix with water in a reusable container.  This will probably keep a dozen plastic bottles out of the landfills this year alone!  I'll let you know how it works.

I have tried little by little to reduce my waste. I think if everyone tried a little it would make a huge difference!
    Somethings I’ve done/
    Use my own shopping bags
Use bar soap vs. body wash
Use laundry and dishwasher tabs in recycled packaging
    Use reusable ziplock bags
    Don’t drink bottled water
