I joined this challenge because it’s a good way to set goals about plastic use and actually keep track of them. I chose the actions I did because I think they would actually make a difference if I keep doing them after the month ends.

It’s going pretty well, but I wish I chose more daily actions instead of one time actions because it’s easier to incorporate the daily actions into my life.

My pet is always there for me and always loves me no matter what. He’s great at cheering me up when I’m sad.

Currently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?

Our money is our voice - the more we purchase eco friendly products, the more likely they will become more readily available.

    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using reusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable food packaging or eating utensils, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

When eating take out with my friends, I can’t encourage them to also ask for no disposable utensils and use ones they bring from home instead. Many restaurants are dependent on disposable food packaging, and we can convince them to change that by educating them on the harms single use plastics have on our planet.
