I am getting a lot of weird looks when I go into a store and tell them I do not want a bag at checkout. Even if it’s just one item. Anyone else?
  • Reflection Question

The items I pack are items I trust and items I know I like.
  • Reflection Question
Personal Care Pretty oh so Pretty
How can you advocate for the importance of reducing packaging to the rest of your friends, family and larger community?

We have two dogs. So picking up the poop is something we can relate too. Helps ensure the waste does not go where it does not need to go.
  • Reflection Question
Personal Care Say No to "Flushable Wipes"
Even though they are marketed as "flushable," disposable wipes do not disintegrate in water or the sewer system, and actually release microplastics into our waterways. How does it feel to learn this information? What do you want to do about it?

More people need to know that even though wipes say they are flushable. They are not and only disrupt the pipes. We opt for a “tabo” in our house. A small pail with water and soap, we use to wash ourselves after we are done using the bathroom.
  • Reflection Question
    Personal Care Dam the Flow
Disposable tampons and menstrual pads are often quite expensive. What are the economic and personal benefits of this switch for you?

I don’t have to continue to spend $20 of that each month on something I’m throwing away. I also save closet space as well from the boxes of the sanitary items. I also do not have to worry about having extra items in a purse or bag to change my items while I’m out and about.
  • Reflection Question

Helps save time and easier than pulling over to stop and get something. Also, most times the food packed is healthier.

I feel as if I am doing my part within the area I live. I also feel as if the neighborhood looks cleaner.
