It felt good to give a shout-out to one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Portland for their plastic-free ways.  Check out Tiny Moreso in N. Portland for healthy, delicious, low/no-waste foods: https://www.tinymoresopdx.com/

What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

The plastic consumption calculator was interesting and made me think. Luckily my lifestyle is lower plastic than the average American, but there's still more that I can do to be a more conscious consumer. My desire to help support small local restaurants by getting takeout certainly has had a recent impact on my plastic footprint too. https://repurpose.global/

Take a moment to estimate how many disposable daily contacts you may have used over the years. What would be your impact now of switching to a contact brand with a longer lifespan?

Before COVID and the need for face coverings, I rarely wore contacts. However now I find that they work better than fogging up my glasses. I am excited to have found out that there is an option for recycling the contacts and the packaging. I've tossed out dozens in recent weeks, but will start collecting them now! https://www.biotrueonedaylenses.com/one-by-one-recycling
