What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

I was happy to hear that my plastic usage is lower than the average American's but it's still not great. I use around 58kg of plastic. I've been trying to cut out more plastic, but it seems impossible at times. I decided to join repurpose in hopes to find more ways to reduce plastic every day. If anyone knows of a good bulk food place, let me know!

If you like to garden (or want to start a garden), and are looking for ways to reuse any single-use plastic containers and bottles, check out this video from GrowVeg - my favorite gardener to follow. We should all be trying to reduce our use of plastic, but in cases where it's nearly impossible, at least you can find ways to reuse the plastic!

Thank you for joining the Buffalo Zoo Staff team! For those that don't know me, I'm the Onsite Programs Specialist in Education and work primarily on family and public programs.

I'm really excited to work with all of you to reduce plastic in all of our lives and community. Make sure that you are choosing which actions you want to work on this month. There are so many to choose from. You can pick a variety of daily actions and one-time actions. I plan to post some tips for things that I have learned over the years of slowly reducing my carbon footprint, and I encourage you all to do the same!

    Feel free to introduce yourselves!
