Community Raise Money For a Nonprofit
What are organizations in your region doing to address plastic pollution or other related issues? How can you support them?

It really seems like the main area of Seattle and Tacoma are doing a few things. Then there are many areas around the San Juans. However, I didn't find many nonprofits in our area focused on sustainablity. This is sad because I viewed our area as very progressive especially in sustainability.

I love our CSA! Today they had a lot more local and a lot more waste! No bags wasted and less labels (why do they label every single apple anyways?)

I also love that they have a u-pick herb, greens, and flowers area!

Ack! This zero waste meal gets me every time! There is always one thing in a meal that has plastic. Even though we eat from our garden, bulk shop, make our own Oatmilk and other items... Always one thing 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

It should be no surprise that certain populations are disproportionately affected more! It is so frustrating and unethical! Another example is in the documentaries plastic island and the plastic problem.

Check out your individual impact and the team impact! It is so awesome to see!!

Today it was really nice to step back and celebrate how far we.have come!. It is very cool that we are in the middle of summer with things to do, people visiting, on the go, and lots of opportunities for trash. Yet we are the lowest waste we have ever been at!!
