August 3 at 10:55 AMOne of the ways I have always helped to reduce use of plastic is following the three Rs, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Though now a days the recycle portion does not really occur, or is very limited where one can recycle their plastics. So the first two Rs are important. I always will reuse my plastic bread bags, sandwich bags, freezer bags, etc....

I made some permanent changes since the challenge began but have a long way to go. July 31 at 2:11 PMI wasn't very surprised, but I do feel bad about ordering takeout in plastic. I have definitely been doing this more during COVID. My goal is to work on ordering takeout only from places that use sustainable takeout packaging. I have also been working on replacing lotion and shampoo containers with ones with more sustainable packaging as I run...

July 31 at 11:04 AMI did not have time to post daily, but all month I did not send any plastics to the landfills. Nor did I buy any plastic items or anything packaged in plastic (though I did use my recyclable 'everfresh green veggie bags' when buying veggies at the farm markets.
