    Just heard a tip from a friend about putting a plate on top of food you are going to microwave instead of plastic.  I already do this but thought it might be good information to share.

    I noticed that when I take my garbage out the can is only 1/2 full.  I hope I wasn't using that much plastic.

    I recently found Plaine Products for personal care items.  The company sends you  products in aluminum packaging, that you SEND BACK to them when it's empty. They'll clean it and reuse it for another order.  If you have not heard of them - check them out:

    Do you order groceries for pick up, only to have the produce wrapped in those annoying plastic bags ? I read a trick to stop this that I'm going to try this week:  in the order line when it gives you an option to put a note regarding substitutions - type in "no plastic bag, place produce in the cart w/out putting in a plastic bag".   ...

    I am cleaning my garage and am finding a lot of plastic things I need to find uses for.  Once you start looking at plastics, the problem becomes bigger and bigger.  I wrote to Fred Meyer and asked them why they went back to giving out plastic bags.  The new bags look worse than the old ones.  I am still bringing my own bags to the store even...
