This was definitely challenging in the pandemic-era : when it feels like we have taken steps backward and  increased our reliance on single-use plastics. Small steps everyday kept me accountable and on track. 

Our indifference to the amount of single-use plastic used and how easily we give up trying to reduce usage are most concerning to me. Using less plastic needs to be incentivized and easier than using more.  

Although cutting a fresh fruit takes more time than unwrapping a granola bar, it is much tastier to eat fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season. We have been enjoying fresh produce from our farmers markets and coming up with creative ways to enjoy them for snack. 

All the trash in our county is burned, the less toxic things there are in the trash the better it is for everyone. 

I haven't had a chance to make the switch yet - I have been following this company for the better part of a year, they were supposed to have their toothbrushes out by the Summer / Fall of last year, but it's still not available and that makes me nervous about pre-ordering. Looks promising, I hope its available soon...

can't believe it is already the last day! Update on the beeswax wraps - they work great and contain smell/odors pretty well.
