    Participating in PFJ has been super fun! I’ve learned a TON but know there’s more so I’ll keep my eyes and ears open for news and tips. The past year has solidified my focus on the war against plastic.

    Fascinatingly, there is an upscale neighborhood across the street from Dominion Recycling Center in Chesapeake. At least that’s what I can deduce from Google Maps lol The houses are large and many have pools. This site is used for construction/demo debris, shingles, and creosote.     Oh where do I start?! lol Probably with my own experience picking up plastic litter in my neighborhood and store parking lots. Telling someone this first hand perspective of specific items could clarify the issue. Especially if I know they use dental flosser picks!!! LOL But seeing straws, plastic utensils, fast food drink cups, and water/soda...

    I use monthly contacts because the thought of daily seemed too much waste years ago when I went disposable. Even monthly piles up of course, but this is a product you don't really think about due to the size. I'm psyched to discover a recycling program, especially when it accepts all brands. Bravo Bausch+Lomb!!
