    I forgot my reusable bags when I went to buy yarn at the craft store. But I still refused the bag and carried a bunch of yarn out to my car in my arms. Lol.The cashier was like, “Are you sure you don’t want a bag?” And I was like “No—it’s plastic free July!”The hypocrisy, however, is that the yarn contains acrylic. While I am not moving away...

    I just ordered my bamboo toothbrushes online and they weren’t that expensive. Like 7 bucks and change for a pack of 5 from Wowe. Besides using less plastic, I think they look way nicer than gaudy plastic toothbrushes. I look forward to getting them in the mail on Tuesday and trying them out!

    Hi all!  Hope your Ecochallenge is going well!  I have a question about the Mote carpooling policy.  I know that it encourages 3 people to carpool together (which is great, the more the merrier in normal times), however, in this time of social distancing, is 3 people still a plausible minimum?

    I cook with a lot of veggies and always have end pieces left over.  I am excited that we got composting and I am now able to divert this type of waste from the landfill!

    My gum intake is a huge contributor to the amount  of plastic waste I create.  I dug a little deeper and found out most popular brands of gum have plastic in it.  Yuck!  Looking for alternatives if anyone has any suggestions
