July 31 at 10:06 AMStarted making my own about a year ago. The initial purchase of containers is the same but you are reducing the amount of plastic by reusing the same cleaning bottles.

July 31 at 10:04 AMToo many plastic water bottles. Switching to a refillable water bottles would cut down a lot on waste. When I had a girl scout troup, my Girl Scouts had to bring their own refillable water bottles to meetings and events.

July 31 at 10:00 AMSince I learned more about the numbers, I realized that my township recycles #5 plastics and I can recycle my yogurt containers and other #5 plastics (so does my office building even though the city we are in does not).

July 31 at 5:34 AMA lot of the time when I shop, I do so on a whim and unfortunately, forget my bags at home. When this happens, I shop with a cart and then just put my grocery items haphazardly in the passenger seat. It is not the easiest thing to do, but it does help the environment.
