July 30 at 6:07 AMThere is SO MUCH! Those plastic bags used for produce are usually used by everyone. And I'm noticing in a lot of the items I buy, they have multiple sets of plastic wrapping. It's just unnecessary and I have ordered reusable produce bags for my shopping trips now. i also take reusable bags for all my groceries when I can.

July 30 at 6:05 AMI didn't realize how many restaurants and fast food places don't ask about a straw, they just give them. I understand they want to give good customer service, but I think it would make them seem more conscious about the environment if they at least asked.

July 29 at 6:40 AMin the U.S., plastic seems to equate to "sterile" and thus we often expect our produce to be wrapped. Packaging also probably helps to keep it from moving around during shipment, thus preventing bruising. If we started to accept slightly bruised and less than perfect produce, it would help to reduce the need to package... Also buy...

July 27 at 7:09 AMwe had a small graduation party for my daughter but couldn't get away from the plastic utensils... especially given the current hyper-sensitivity to germs and sharing. Any suggestions for alternatives?
