I can't believe the challenge is almost over! What action are you most looking forward to continuing beyond July?

Finding ways to make my wardrobe more sustainable, like buying second hand or investing in stable pieces made by environmentally-conscious brands, is something I enjoy.

I'm going to continue trying to remove the daily-use plastic, like in food.  I'm definitely stopping frozen-dinners except for Banquet potpies which are in paper.  I want to figure out a polite way way to speak up to folks with plastic water bottles - maybe give away my extra/old metal ones!

How might thinking creatively help us address big systems problems - like plastic pollution - differently?

Creativity and innovation is going to be vital to solving a lot of the issues with plastic as it's used now. Food packaging is one area where I've found that even companies that are committed to sustainability struggle to find alternatives that meet food safety requirements etc. Hopefully if creative solutions are found there will be companies that will happily adopt them.

The incinerator used in Baltimore City is a very serious concern. the fumes it releases into the air are hazardous and can result in higher rates of health issues such as asthma in city residents.

To reach my trash pickup goal I have to get out and walk around, which is a great way to see my community, meet neighbors, etc.
