July 30 at 7:32 PMMy other big kitchen switch was getting my produce through Imperfect (now teamed up with Misfit Market). Most of their produce is plastic free and comes to your door in a cardboard box. If there's any extra packaging, it's paper. If it's hot, there'll be an ice pack and insulated bag that they will take back, sanitize and reuse. Not everything...

July 30 at 7:13 AMIt was more difficult for me, usually I do travel with some jerky and puffy Cheetos.

July 30 at 7:11 AMI can't believe July is practically over! Seems we just started the Plastic Free Ecochallenge!

July 30 at 5:42 AMNo more glitter in birthday cards!

July 29 at 7:11 PMOut of the laundry room, into the kitchen! This is my least accomplished single-use plastic-free room as I have little self control with grocery store snacks, but I have made some changes. First up, I use a dish detergent bar instead of liquid soap. I get mine from Sheets (same place as my laundry detergent). Each bar seems to last me about 1.5...

July 28 at 4:42 PMI purchased toothpaste tablets from A Drop in the Ocean, the website we get a discount code from after earning 200 points! I was surprised by how affordable the items are in their shop! The toothpaste tablets I bought come in at-home compostable paper packets. I'm looking forward to trying them out!

July 27 at 7:31 PMAnother laundry room switch: wool dryer balls. They work like dryer sheets, but are reusable. They're all over the internet, but mine are Woolous (Wool Dryer Balls – Woolous). I've had the 6 pack for about 5 years and they're still going strong!

July 27 at 11:15 AMI did a waste audit on my own home, and I learned that I have successfully taught the menfolk in my home about recycling. We produce at least 50% more recycling than we do landfill. This year we will be looking into composting.

July 26 at 7:34 PMI think I've run out of single-use plastic replacements for the bathroom, so let's go to the laundry room. I use Sheets (Laundry Sheets & Cleaning Supplies | Sheets Laundry Club) laundry detergent sheets instead of liquid detergent. It's worked just as well as liquid detergent, and is much more convenient. Each box is made of cardboard and...

July 26 at 1:24 PMWe're looking into buying and installing this microplastics filter: https://girlfriend.com/products/water-filter?utm_source=Impact&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=The+WireCutter&irgwc=1 I found it on one of the pages suggested by PFJ, through the "Learn More" button on this challenge.
