I have been making my own laundry soap for years now, but this action item influenced me to swap out other cleaning products for a natural alternative.

Aside from forgetting to check in consistently, it's going pretty well! Lol

I was not aware of the meaning of the laundry symbols. It was very interesting to learn about how they educate care practices, as well as learn tips for increasing the longevity of my clothes. I have to admit, I do not always give the proper care to my clothing while doing laundry, but I definitely will going forward!

This year’s EcoChallenge has brought a whole new lineup of actions that are teaching me so much! It’s been really interesting to explore the “learn more” resources. I’m excited to continue challenging myself!

I wanted to part of this challenge because I believe in the value of knowing one's environmental impact, and how knowing that influences the choices we make!

Creativity is the backbone of innovation and change! By thinking outside the box to find solutions to environmental issues, we can make further positive impacts. Not only is creativity important for this, but also the uplifting of voices from communities that are impacted by pollution of all kinds, not just plastic.

By cleaning up litter we make our community a safer, cleaner place for us to live. 🚮

Giving employees their own silverware for at their desks or on the go is cheaper than constantly buying disposable ones. Uniquely to the Detroit Zoo, it also encourages employees to eat within the zoo or while attending one of the Lunch and Learn opportunities.

The Ford House is collecting next Monday as well for an artist who turns #2 and #5 recycling in to art. Just did a drop off and now I get to walk the beautiful grounds.
  • July 8 at 11:21 AM
I definitely don't feel as boxed in and stressed, the walks really give me a chance to breathe.
