Lisa Brenskelle 7/04/2024 6:57 AMI selected the ecochallenge about proper food storage and I learned a lot. I've already begun changing my practices to ensure food lasts longer and doesn't wind up spoiled and in the compost when it could have been eaten. 1. Shop sustainably for picnic/BBQ supplies (use reusable grocery bags, avoid items with excessive packaging, buy at local farmers market)
2. Skip single use plates/cutlery/cups in favor of re-usable (you can ask people to bring their own, too)
3. Ditch plastic straws (skip straws, or offer paper/bamboo/steel)
4. Offer beverages that don't come in plastic bottles
5. Choose eco-friendly decorations
