Anyone heard of a “Papertarian”? It is someone who lives a paper-based lifestyle. https://www.howlifeunfolds.com/sustainability/three-things-papertarian-knows#:~:text=No%20need%20to%20wrap%20your%20head%20around%20it%2C,that%20have%20a%20big%20impact%20on%20our%20planet

I have started wearing my glasses substantially more in the last few years so I've decrease my contact usage. I've been wearing contacts since I was 12 and I've teetered back and forth from monthly to bi-monthly prescriptions so I calculated I've probably thrown away nearly 1000 or contacts and their packaging. I'm excited this prompted me to...

Do you like popcorn? I loved the air popped flavor with no butter. I have found I can take 1/4 cup of whole kernels, place in a lunch size paper bag, press out air while folding down lid and tape closed. Microwave for about 1.5 minutes and perfect bag. No grease or waste. I have stapled the bag, but can spark in microwave. I have repopped...

I interpreted this for my cat. I use cotton pad to clean his face and chin, and was able to find reusable fabric pads instead. Still getting used to them, but they work.

This one has been a tough one for me, since most meat and deli is prepackaged. I have been able to get my sub from the deli in a contained I bring, they stick the sticker on top. Its been a little weird but the deli workers at Publix are great. Its been both hard and nice to do this in a world after covid. And remembering to being the...

Today I found a way to reuse the leftover of a project to finish another one. This way I saved money and reduced waste!

Starbucks becomes first national coffee retailer to accept reuseable cups for drive thru and mobile orders! I love how I can bring my own cup I. After making a mobile order, so my drink is ready when I walk in and quickly pour into my cup and head out. Plus, I earn 25 stars towards my account and save $.10 each time too!

Today I donated a few items that I dont use to the repurpose project. They are a great resource in town for useable materials like wood and paint and textiles.
