July 31 at 8:50 PMThe plastics industry benefits from their product being so commonly used, especially single use plastic that makes up ~50% of plastic produced. Unfortunately the bonus is put on the consumer to use less when we have to hold the industry and businesses more accountable. July 31 at 8:25 PMYikes. Looked at my impacts and saw I stopped 64 cups going to the landfill. Y'all, that’s how many coffees I had on the go. It doesn’t include the coffee I brew at home. 👀 I drink wayyyyyyy too much coffee.

July 31 at 6:52 PMLess space taken up by plastic bottles that hold water and the soap/shampoo/and conditioner, using shampoo and conditioner bars are more sustainable and longer lasting than the liquid variety and even be made of less detergent-like chemicals that don’t need to be rinsed down the drain to collect at a water plant full of toxic chemicals.
-
July 31 at 6:48 PMI have started to see more paper straw options and plant based straws in different establishments. I really think by making the move to these other options, we can do away with the harmful plastic straws.
-
July 31 at 6:45 PMGetting active in the efforts of making the government and agencies aware that this is a huge problem. Without clean drinking & useable water, people animals, and plants all suffer. Water is life and if clean water is taken away, every living thing suffers.

July 31 at 6:42 PMThe local shops encourage using a clean personal cup/mug as it has a better impact on the environment and sets a great example that you can have your drink and still do something good for the planet.
-
July 31 at 6:40 PMI have a great utensil case for my lunch bag, by using those utensils vs plastic single use ones, it creates a positive talking point for how inexpensive it is and great for the environment.
-
July 31 at 6:38 PMBy setting a positive example of picking up litter and waste, I believe it will influence others to want to clean up the trash and help out our planet.
