I feel confident that I can fly tomorrow with two toddlers and not buy plastic. I have all the snacks prepped, the art and games and books and the cars at hand, the backup clothes, the diapers, the water bottles and a thermos for coffee. I have a bag for soiled clothes and reusable bags for whatever. And I just remembered the reusable cutlery!!...

Today I ate out with my sister at a diner. The waitstaff wanted to give us plastic straws and plastic creamers, which I declined. I ordered French toast, and the syrup only came in cups 😂 but the French toast is so good I didn’t need it. I should’ve known better than to order the parfait which came in a plastic cup. I was bemoaning this to my...

The employer is a hospital system that recently switched from serving diningware on plates that were washed on site to only styrofoam and plastic products. The amount of people...

Looking back at my personal ecochallenge goals from 7/16 I see I have two left 1) mend the other pair of my dad’s pants (I did one already) and 2) finish my clothes clean out for recycling/donation (I’m about 2/3 done). I think I’ll be able to do it.

After almost a month of thought going into switching to a bidet, we have opted to not purchase a new toilet. Even though the current hardware is acting up, it’ll be an easy fix. I did enjoy reading about bidets though! (Although they seem to be all made of plastic.)

I am preparing for another trip - this time longer and with airports involved. I’m glad we bought our travel toiletries that are plastic free for the last trip. My goals are 1) to personally buy no plastic this trip (I know my family may purchase groceries with them, but I myself will look for the brands I usually buy). This goal will be...
