July 31 at 11:29 AMI'm not surprised... I walk everywhere so that saves on gasoline, and rarely travel, live in a small space, and try to keep all my meals to local foods.

July 31 at 11:28 AMOur employer is actually pretty good at this; the disposables used by the cafe are all compostable, and there are plenty of cups and plates etc available in the staff rooms.

July 31 at 11:25 AMNumber 6 Plastic - - This is Styrofoam. Not only styrofoam, but yogurt containers and Solo cups (the red drink cups), all made from the same stuff. STYROFOAM NEVER DIES FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIVE.

July 31 at 11:23 AMWell for one, for me socks will melt into sharp mattes of plastic fabric, if they are made with any percent of plastic, so I have to get them from as much % cotton as possible. Natural fibers just feel better than plastic fibers.

July 31 at 11:21 AMI reuse and upcycle old clothing or random items. Right now I'm making so many old keychains, or charms bought on holiday, into earrings; and the hook on my necklace is actually just a paperclip.
