    I want to thank you for being the top public contributor to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Team’s effort to Plastic Free July competition by earning 685 points. Your efforts helped us make a positive impact on the environment. Overall, our team came in 5th place nationally in this competition.

    In recognition of your top efforts, you have won one of three behind the scenes tours at the Virginia Aquarium for you and one other person. Please read through the descriptions for the Life Support , Sea Turtles or the Sharks tours on our website Behind-the-Scenes Tours | Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.     I need to do better at checking in for sure! But the site is great for accountability and these daily changes can be mastered as a way of life! Plus they are great educational opportunities with friends and family because you explain why you do what you and even the smallest change can have a significant impact!

    It's help eliminate guilt from when I can't avoid plastic or other less sustainable practices. It's not about being perfect, but it is about working on my own impact. Every little step by each person does make a difference.
