I'm traveling this week and totally forgot to pack my travel mug. "Embracing imperfection" is the name of the game this week! 😅 So while I'm still creating waste, I'm opting to get coffee from the hotel lobby rather than the Keurig in the room with all the extra-wrapped (and lower quality) mixin's. Progress over perfection!

Visited the Phipps Conservatory yesterday and this is part of their “Under the Sea” displays. It’s all pieces of broken/used plastic! They also sell water there in an aluminum can not plastic!

My mom is now saving her bread bags, paper towel plastic, etc and giving it to me to recycle.

One of my favorites is green beans with almond. - saute green beans in avacado or olive oil - add crush garlic, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper - add sliced almonds - cook until it's tender yet has a slight crunch. Sometimes, I remove the salt and use soy sauce to give it a different twist!

Embracing imperfection has impacting my journey by opening up my eyes to how much plastic is actually used and making more of an effort in using up the disposables I have that are one time use and keeping the ones I can use.

A lot of my waste I created did go to recycling. I could reduce more waste in the bathroom still.

Went to the store Sunday and didn't take one single plastic bag! For the single-use products I did purchase, I made sure they were able to be recycled.

Hard and honestly found the eco to be less effective.

I have several, so keep some in the car and some in the house. I also have one in my purse, that compacts down for easy storage.

Getting out in fresh air has helped me so much with clearing my mind. Also the fall race I'm doing isn't gonna train for itself so it's win/win
