Wishing all of our albatross friends plastic-free bellies full of squid!

Ugh, it's so hard to be 100% plastic free. Wanted to not buy herbs in little plastic containers in the grocery produce section. Bought a herb plant instead with the intention of planting it for continual herbs at home. The plant pot and wrapper were plastic. :(

I often reuse Saran Wrap for more than one time. Will cover leftovers with perused wrap

Visited a dog food store and successfully walked out with new dog food information and zero new toys. The hide a treat toys are so popular now, so I'm just using his current toys in new ways - hiding treats in them then wrapping them up in his blanket and under his bed. Takes him a while to figure things out.

Instead of power walking throuh the neighborhood, I slowed down, let the dog sniffed and started noticing and picking up so much litter.

I pick up plastic on the beach about 3 times a week. In the kitchen, I put a plate on crockery bowls to store food. I use a silicone dish cover to put over containers when I microwave them. I have eliminated using plastic in the kitchen!

I live in a community where a lot of construction is happening. This morning's 1 mile walk with the dog provided so many screws, plastic straps, lunch litter, straws...etc for me to pick up.

This was an easy switch because detergent sheets are much more readily available today.

I've successfully switched my shampoo, conditioner, body wash to bars. They take up very little space in my shower and there is zero waste - it's a win-win!

Going on walks around my neighborhood during the work day has really helped with my mental and physical health. I am able to get away from screens and just tune in to what is around me, which allows me to notice the little things. My favorite observation today was noticing my neighbors sunflowers have gotten a little taller!
