    This was my first year doing this challenge. It was fun, challenging and so informative! I had already begun the process of eliminating as much single use plastics from my home a month before so this was seriously added incentive.     I am going to honor and celebrate the last day of the plastic challenge by making a batch of Smokey chipotle hummus. With chipotle peppers I have purchased a the farmers market last Friday at Udall Park Recreational Center. Hope to see you all next July.

    I will travel with my bars.. shampoo, conditioner, soap & lotion. I have been refilling my travel size mouthwash & q-tip containers for years. My deodorant is a refillable aluminum container.

    the micro burst caused damaged at Reid Park Zoo in the South America loop. I would like to thank the Zoo Keepers and staff for caring for all the animals and birds in that area.

    Thank you for the opportunity to do this plastic free ecochallenge! Knowledge is power and now that I know better I’ll do better. Congratulations to everyone who participated….let’s end this challenge strong and use the momentum to carry it through the rest of the year and beyond!

    So sad that this is the last day of the plastic free eco challenge. This year I have added more ways to repurpose, proper ways to recycle and reduce the plastic in my life. I will continuing educating myself and exploring option during the year to share next July with all of you.
