I collected figs that could have not been used before going bad on my walk today.

My mental health is always better when I get to walk outside in nature. I have been very physically challenged this season with the construction of my new raised bed garden. I am grateful for the opportunity and the benefits that my garden has offered me this summer and what it will offer me year round going forward.

I did not get to be as involved in PFJ this year as I normally would have. I am setting a goal for myself to be extra involved next year and challenge myself to be present and engaged next year!

It has allowed me to give myself grace on the days that are harder to stay the course.

I am taking home some gifted chimichurri sauce that a friend had and will be expiring soon for dinner this weekend.

I used tomatoes from last year's garden that had some blemishes but I was able to salvage and freeze to make homemade marinara sauce for pasta night!

On my walk I noticed these things in my garden and they made me happy

I have chickens and they lay eggs foe me instead of buying them from the store. We had an unusually large egg and it provided us with 2 yolks instead of one.

Appreciation for the simple "things". Feeling proud about accomplishing a task.

I didn't have any bread so I made this loaf at home instead of buying a loaf from the store in a plastic wrapper.
