I've been trying to buy more clothing that has natural fibers (cotton, wool, and linen), and to buy clothing second-hand, but often there is still some plastic fiber blended in (e.g. some spandex in socks), or the clothing can still come with plastic packaging. It still feels really nice to think about how much less plastic is in my clothing,...

For my Clevelanders, yesterday I went to the West Side Market and took a bunch of plastic containers I had saved from my takeout (those standard black ones with clear tops that come with EVERY MEAL) and was able to have the vendors place food items directly into the containers. Instead of coming home with another 8 plastic To-Go containers, I...

It can be really hard to try and be perfectly eco friendly all the time. The important thing is that we are trying, not that we succeed. Cuz if everyone tries, that's better than no one trying at all.

I took my reusable cup to Starbucks yesterday to eliminate using a plastic one. They are officially accepting reusable cups again AND giving a 10 cent discount for bringing your own!
