July 31 at 6:59 AMI've been trying to buy more clothing that has natural fibers (cotton, wool, and linen), and to buy clothing second-hand, but often there is still some plastic fiber blended in (e.g. some spandex in socks), or the clothing can still come with plastic packaging. It still feels really nice to think about how much less plastic is in my clothing,...

July 31 at 6:56 AMI take a sense of pride in having a litter-free community and feel more ownership over keeping it clean. I have met new neighbors and had conversations with people I haven't met before while picking up litter.

July 23 at 7:27 AMInstead of gum, altoids come in metal containers with a paper liner. There is a plastic wrap around the container, but less plastic than a gum container.

Instead of coming home with another 8 plastic To-Go containers, I...

July 15 at 6:07 AMIt can be really hard to try and be perfectly eco friendly all the time. The important thing is that we are trying, not that we succeed. Cuz if everyone tries, that's better than no one trying at all.

July 15 at 5:41 AMI took my reusable cup to Starbucks yesterday to eliminate using a plastic one. They are officially accepting reusable cups again AND giving a 10 cent discount for bringing your own!
